So as of now, here is where we sit. The last few things remaining are bleeding the brakes and mounting the gas tank. Really.
Now it's still nowhere near finished and that will probably take years but at least it's on the road - or damn close.

Hey man, that's real old school,
ReplyDeleteor do You think any Hot Rod was really ready
in the old days....................
I am from germany, so i am everything else
but an expert in such things, as we have
completely different cars as base for
any conversions.
some years ago, i built a very special
Citroen 2CV Roadster Pick Up with an
AMI Super-Frame and a 65HP Engine from
a Citroen GSA ......and got it street-legal
here in Germany (that was hard.......)
65HP may sound small for You, but in a car
that weighs only 600Kg that's a lot!
It runs faster than 170Km/h (>100mph!)
and that is "fast enough" in a 2cv!
dont stop, stand up and go on!
It sounds good (almost too good.......,
maybe there will be found
a "sharper" camshaft........)
Kick ass! I dig the mexican blankets, obviously. I can't wait to see it in person!
